Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD Blanks)
The indab-PCD range of Polycrystalline Diamond includes a wide range of PCD variants offering something for every application.
Our PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond on a WC Substrate) materials have been developed to offer the ultimate material for each application giving diamond tool manufacturers the options needed to meet the demands of their customers. As a long-term supplier of PCD-Diamond, we have a good understanding of what our customers need.

PCD Blanks (Polycrystalline Diamond)
Our PCD Diamond Discs / blanks are available in a wide variety of size configurations depending on your requirements. We have several diameters in our range going up to a maximum of Ø62mm and thicknesses ranging from 1.6mm up to 8.0mm.
We have several different PCD types and grades available as follows:
Diameters up to Ø75mm
PCD Polycrystalline Diamond Types
- DS – Regular PCD
- DT – Extra Tough PCD
- DH – Ultra Hard PCD
- DF – Fine Sub-Micron

PCD Total Thickness:
1.0mm to 8.0mm
PCD Diamond Blanks – Wear Parts + Thick Layer
Our wear part PCD has been designed specifically for wear parts however it is also being used in certain cutting tool applications due to the thicker PCD layer available in this material. With a lower diamond content and special matrix the material is easy to grind yet it is tough enough to make a high quality wear part that can be re-ground if necessary.

PCD Blanks – Drill Tips
Our PCD Drill Tip material (Commonly referred to as Sandwich PCD) is one material developed due to new demands and has a layer of PCD in-between two layers of carbide allowing the material to be cut into small segments. These can then be inserted into the tip of the drill for easy grinding and faster production times.
With the development of new composite materials for industries such as aerospace, new challenges are being faced in how to machine these materials. The simple operation of drilling holes is one area that has required further material development.

Special Orders + EDM Services
It is possible for us to offer special dimensions subject to feasibility within the production processes. We can also supply pre-cut segments from a standard size selection or alternatively to drawing if you have special requirements.
Working with our PCD
All of our Polycrystalline Diamond can be cut using Wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) technology. Cutting rates and required settings will naturally be different for each type of PCD due to the varying diamond content.
Fine edge finishing is also achievable with the correct grinding wheel combination.
